MonkeyBench: GPU benchmark in the browser
MonkeyBench is our own benchmark that runs directly in the browser without installation. Its GPU part uses WebGPU to measure the real performance of your graphics card. Here you can see all GPU results collected so far.

How the GPU test works
Three WebGPU workloads load the graphics card in different ways. Each result is compared with a reference value.
Boids
Swarm simulation with 262,144 particles in a compute shader – measures pure compute power and memory throughput.
High-Poly
Renders a highly detailed 3D scene at 2048 × 2048 pixels with eight light sources – typical rasterization load as in games.
Raymarching
Ray marching with up to 512 steps per pixel – computes light and shadow similar to ray tracing and loads the shader units heavily.
GPU points
The three tests are combined into one score using a weighted geometric mean. 500 points correspond roughly to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.
Questions & answers
What is MonkeyBench?
MonkeyBench is a free benchmark by our sister site CPU-Monkey.com. It runs in Chrome, Edge and Safari without installation and tests both the processor (WebAssembly) and the graphics card (WebGPU).
Where do I run the test?
The benchmark runs exclusively on CPU-Monkey.com, where all results are stored as well. GPU-Monkey shows the GPU results from there so you can compare graphics cards directly.
Why do my GPU points differ from other benchmarks?
The test runs through the browser's WebGPU interface. Browser, driver and power settings influence the result. Laptops in particular can deliver significantly different values depending on the power mode.
